We had a fantastic stay at Backcountry Lodge! the hearty breakfast provided us with the energy we needed to start our day of skiing. Plus, the convenience of having a wall socket by each bunk bed allowed us to charge our devices privately. the lodge itself was beautiful and had a cozy atmosphere. We loved the layout and had a great night's sleep in the spacious rooms with comfortable beds and amenities.
Not one thing 🙌

I recently stayed at the Backcountry Lodge in Niseko for a ski trip. The deluxe dorm had ample space and the staff were easygoing. The breakfast selection was the best I've seen in a hostel, with American-style eggs, bacon, fruits, ham. The lodge is conveniently located within walking distance of onsens and a variety of restaurants. The location is excellent, just 50 meters from Moiwa Ski Resort, which offers plenty of room to explore the backcountry. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was exceptional, creating a welcoming atmosphere. I had a fantastic experience at the Backcountry Lodge.
I can just recommend this hotel.

I had an amazing time staying at the Backcountry Lodge! The chalet-style property was cozy and had a great atmosphere. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The lodge was conveniently located just a 3-minute walk from Moiwa ski resort, offering great views. The American breakfast served at the lodge was absolutely delicious with a variety of options to choose from. I highly recommend this lodge for a fantastic stay in Niseko!
The only minor drawback was that the walls were quite thin, which meant that some noise from neighboring rooms could be heard. However, this did not significantly affect the overall experience.

We had a fantastic stay at this cozy lodge! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, making our stay comfortable and our transfers in and out easy. The atmosphere was homely, and we made friends for life with the people in our dormitory room. The lodge looked new and stylish, providing a great atmosphere. The hotel facilities were excellent, with a washing machine, fridge, microwave, and water boiler available for shared use. The drying room and storage area for ski gear were very convenient. The staff at the Japanese restaurant and bar were fantastic, providing great service. The location was perfect, right across from a ski resort and within walking distance of onsens and restaurants. The breakfast provided was the best we saw in any hostel, with a delicious American-style spread of eggs, bacon, fruits, ham, and cheese.
Nothing that we didn't like.

The lodge is conveniently located just a minute walk from the ski lift, which offers a sense of exclusivity. the dorm rooms are comfortable and spacious, with some even having their own lounge area, providing extra room for relaxation. Guests have access to good showers and bathrooms, ensuring a pleasant stay. the lodge also offers a great hangout area for socializing with other guests, promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
The common areas can sometimes become crowded with guests drying their clothes, which can create an unpleasant smell.
